Tapioca Pearl is taking her chances today at the 18:45 race at Doncaster, covering a distance of 7f 6y in the Race 6 British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes. She's currently priced quite attractively at 21.0, making her a long shot but perhaps worth a flutter if you're feeling adventurous. George Downing in the saddle brings confidence, given he and trainer E Walker have had a fairly solid run, turning out some good performances historically at this venue. Form-wise though, Tapioca Pearl hasn't quite hit the mark recently with no wins in her last few races. However, the duo's strike rate in the last 60 days stands at about 9%, which isn't too shabby. Could be a day for an upset. Another interesting runner is Implied Volatility, an outside shot at an eye-watering 51.0. Risky, but remember folks, higher risk, potentially higher reward! Jockey George Wood and trainer J Candlish might not bring the most reassuring recent track record to the table, with minimal wins recently. This gelding hasn't shown sparks of brilliance just yet, but racing is a fickle sport and surprises are never far away. Switching to Watch And Shoot, priced closer to the mid-range at 19.0, might be a safer bet for more conservative punters. This gelding, paired with Callum Shepherd and trainer George Scott, shows a tad more promise even though his recent racing form doesn't raise any flags. A middling option and might be worth considering for a place at least. Al Joory and Remmooz are two horses catching the public eye with prices at 7 and a short 1.62 respectively. Particularly Remmooz, sneaking in under strong consideration for the win due to overwhelming form favourability and a striking combination of jockey K Stott and trainer Owen Burrows showing a robust track record.
